Can You Help - Sustainability Edition

Help Us to be More Sustainable | Working Bee

Sustainability Help Needed

Bondi Public P&C is always looking at ways to be more sustainable. If you're passionate about sustainability, we have a number of opportunities available:

  • Our uniform store shelves are being replaced - see pictures of them below. Do you know anyone who could use the old shelves? Or can you help us to transport them to a timber recycling business? Let us know here:
  • We recycle old uniforms that cannot be resold. We need volunteers to transport these uniforms to Zara in Bondi Junction to be recycled. For more details, contact Nil:
  • The canteen has instituted a cutlery library so that we do not use single use plastic. They currently need more forks! If you have any spare forks, please drop them off to the canteen
  • Bondi Public is hosting the Eastern Suburbs Sustainable Schools Network meeting for the term, with our very own canteen manager, Kai Tando, presenting on the wonderful work she is doing to make the canteen more sustainable. If you're interested in hearing more, you can book tickets here:

Working Bee - Sunday 25th June

Like to muck in and get your hands dirty? Keen to volunteer but can't make it during school hours? Come along to the Term 2 working bee on Sunday 25th June and help get the school grounds in tip top shape. This term, we are focusing on:

  • Removing the shelving in the Uniform Shop
  • Installing new shelving in the Uniform Shop
  • General tidying of the school including weeding

Please bring gloves and gardening equipment if you have them.

We will be putting on a BBQ for our volunteers! If you’re able to help, please sign up today! Any time you can spare would be amazing:
